There are three main areas involved in converting your video to DVD:
The video tape players used are also top-of-the-line Sony and JVC models.
Connecting the two are monster video cables for the best possible analogue signal with zero RF interference. These cables alone cost hundreds of dollars.
Finally, the computer used in the capture process has a Pentium 4 processor running at 3.06 Ghz, 1 Gig of Corsair memory and Serial ATA Hard Drives. All this power to ensure that we will never lose a single frame of your precious video footage.
Mpeg2 format (the type used on DVD) is actually compressed video. As such, the quality of the compression is critical and directly related to the quality of the video when viewed on the DVD. Poor compression will actually result in the loss of video information and create such things as noise or video "artifacts".
Brule Digital Memories Incorporated uses the industry acclaimed Canopus Procoder software to convert the video to Mpeg2 format. This professional software package is the same used by movie companies.
Lastly comes that stage where this Mpeg2 video is formatted and stored on DVD. We offer the ability to create custom menus using pictures taken directly from your video to further personalize your final product.
